Sunday roasts start at 12 midday at three L&B pubs: The Pullman on Church Street and Harbour Inn on Harbour Street in Folkestone, and The Ship Inn on Sandgate High Street. Food runs all day on Sundays until 8pm. Booking is recommended, and walk-ins are welcome if a table is free.

The Pullman: a roast dinner in Folkestone town centre

The Pullman was our first pub. It's at 7–9 Church Street in the middle of Folkestone, and the fire goes on in the colder months. Roasts are from 12 midday. There are high chairs, and dogs are welcome in the bar areas. The Pullman menu.

The Ship Inn: Sunday roast by the beach in Sandgate

The Ship Inn is at 65 Sandgate High Street in Sandgate, with the beach across the road. The restaurant and the upstairs deck both look out to sea. Roasts are from 12 midday, and dogs are welcome in the bar areas. The Ship Inn menu.

Harbour Inn: Sunday lunch on Harbour Street

Harbour Inn is at 24–26 Harbour Street, Folkestone, a short walk from the Harbour Arm. You can see the harbour from the terrace. Roasts are from 12 midday, and the seafood menu is on too if someone at the table would rather have fish. Dogs are welcome in the bar areas. Harbour Inn menu.

What's on the roast

Beef, lamb, chicken, pork belly, or a vegetarian mushroom roast slice, with all the trimmings. The choice changes by pub and by week, so check each pub's menu. Roasts can be made gluten-free on request: just ask when you order.

Kids Roast

The Kids Roast is £11.95 and is on Sundays only. The Kids' Menu (£6.95 including a drink) is available too.
