Folkestone is a good pub town. L&B runs four pubs here: The Pullman on Church Street, Cat & Fiddle on Rendezvous Street, Harbour Inn on Harbour Street and The Ship Inn in Sandgate. Each one feels different.

In town
The Pullman

The Pullman was the first L&B pub, which Ben and Lucy took over in 2014. There’s a fire in the colder months and a garden with palms. Come for the pies, the steaks and a good line-up of whiskies. Book if you’re eating, or just come in for a pint.
Cat & Fiddle
13 Rendezvous Street, Folkestone CT20 1EY
Cat & Fiddle is a friendly local with live music every week. It’s walk-in only, no booking. Luben and Panataria are on the same street.
By the harbour
Harbour Inn
24–26 Harbour Street, Folkestone CT20 1QN
In 2017 we reopened the old True Briton as Harbour Inn. There’s fish from the local boats, changing ales and a Sunday roast. It’s a pub first, so you’re welcome just for a drink. The Harbour Arm is a short walk away.
In Sandgate
The Ship Inn
65 Sandgate High Street, Sandgate CT20 3AH
There’s been a pub at The Ship Inn since 1798, and L&B took it on in 2023. There’s fish and roasts on the menu, a restaurant with a sea view and an upstairs deck for sunny days. Walk along the beach to get there.
