Staying at London & Paris Hotel, by Folkestone Harbour

London & Paris Hotel's curved cream front on Harbour Street, Folkestone, with its name across the top, under a blue sky

London & Paris Hotel is an adults only hotel of 11 rooms at 28 Harbour Street, Folkestone, and many of those rooms look straight over the harbour. You sleep by the water, breakfast comes from Harbour Inn’s menu, and dinner is at Harbour Inn’s restaurant. You’ll find rooms, photos and booking on the London & Paris Hotel page.

The hotel

London & Paris Hotel is small on purpose. There are 11 rooms, from doubles to Room 11, the Deluxe Suite, and many of them overlook Folkestone Harbour. It’s an adults only hotel, so evenings stay calm and mornings stay quiet.

Check-in runs from 3pm to 10pm and check-out from 8am to 10am. If you’re arriving after 10pm, let the hotel know and it can be arranged. There’s no lift and there are no accessible rooms, so it’s worth knowing that before you book.

By the harbour

The address says most of it: Harbour Street, CT20 1QN, by Folkestone Harbour. Open the curtains and the harbour is there. The boats keep their own hours, and you’re welcome to ignore them.

We don’t have guest parking, but Tram Road public car park (CT20 1QR) is open 24 hours and about 3 minutes’ walk away. Charges apply from 8am each day. Blue Badge holders park free for up to 3 hours in council car parks. Dogs are welcome in the function room bar, though not in the bedrooms, and assistance dogs are always welcome.

Breakfast and dinner

Breakfast is served in the hotel’s own breakfast room, from Harbour Inn’s menu. It’s a relaxed start, with nowhere you need to be.

For dinner, the hotel’s restaurant is Harbour Inn. You can see what’s cooking on the Harbour Inn menu.

Why stay midweek

Folkestone in the week is the same harbour with more room in it. A Sunday night also turns a weekend into something longer. If your diary bends at all, Sunday to Thursday is a good time to come.
